24sata is a multimedia platform that is today the absolute market leader on the web, mobile and print platforms. The company 24sata doo (then Media-Ideja doo) was founded at the end of 2004 and is 100% owned by the Austrian publisher Styria AG, one of the largest Austrian media houses. In just three years of existence, since March 2005, 24sata has become the leading Croatian daily newspaper, both in terms of readership and the number of copies sold. After only a year, they were the most read daily newspapers in Croatia, and they celebrated the second anniversary of their publication as the best-selling daily newspapers. Today, on average, almost 100,000 copies of newspapers are sold per day (source: ABC, 01-06.2015), and the readership is over 500,000 people per day (Source: MEDIApuls, 01-12 December 2015). The editor-in-chief is Goran Gavranović. During the relatively short period of publishing, 24sata received several international awards: - as part of the European News Prize, they won two awards in the Popular Press Layout category for front pages - the World Young Reader Prize in the Public Service category of the World Newspaper Association the most severe disability - European Newspaper Award: Award of Excellence for newspaper design in the front page category - Tyler Brulé, prominent designer and columnist of the Financial Times declared 24sata: "the most innovative concept of daily newspapers" in the selection of the best international media projects Portal 24sata.hr portal. In December 2015, it had 1,408,225 actual users (source: Gemius). In addition to the mobile version, 24sata.hr also has its iOS, Android and Windows Phone applications. 24sata also has a leading position on the most popular social network - Facebook. In February 2015, it exceeded the number of one million fans, which makes it the largest media site in Croatia. For his activities on this network, he has been awarded two international prizes from the associations WAN-IFRA and INMA.
