Though America Top 10 does not have a lot of history yet it does through those contributing. My name is Elizabeth Wilson and I am the founder and main backer of this site. When you contact us, I will try to answer personally if I can, though even if I can't someone will get back with you quickly. My work has taken me all around the United States, so far I have lived in 31 different states and I have visited 47 of the states, and I know there are people who have had to travel even more extensively than I have myself. Our family thrives in the moving and it works well for us, and it pays the bills, can't forget that ever important factor! Though I find that every time we move I have to find a new GP (General practitioner doctor), dentist, auto garage, dry cleaner, and oh does the list go on! If you have kids, you really know what I am talking about, and even those who do not have children have their work cut out for them. This can be even more strenuous for military families where their moves can be a lot more frequent and on much shorter notice than the rest of us are usually dealing with. Many of my friends are in that same situation, I only get to talk to them via email or phone as they are usually states away. My friends and I have discussed these problems a lot, and every time one of us had to move again it was brought up. So I decided to do something about it. That is how America Top 10 was born! These are my top picks, with feedback from my friends, and from you too! So that when we need a service we have never needed before, or we need to find them in our new environment they will be readily available. The searching, verifying, making sure they are reputable, has already been done. In most cases one of us has lived there, at least for a while and has the privilege of knowing the area. We ask that you the community help to make this list better because though many, if not most, of these listings come from our personal experience. There are those that we have not met or experienced in person. Also, sometimes things with a business change, perhaps the employee that made the business outstanding has left, a bad egg has been hired, the company changed hands, or there is new management. In these cases we ask you let us know if any of our listings have provided anything short of outstanding customer service. This is important to us. We want our top 10 to be the best in our opinion and yours! Because, it is after all our opinion of who the top 10 are, and others may have had a different experience or opinion and we respect and want you to share those with us. We also welcome suggestions for site improvements, new features, and changes! We have tried to make this site fun and easy to use, we have user polls, random category specific facts, related information, sites of interest, and top releases! We also feature categories and other things of importance in our slide show. You will see some sponsor links or advertisements, most of the time they are labeled, to help support the cost of our website. We hope to keep these advertisements minimal and maybe even remove them later down the road. We have a lot of big plans for the growth of America Top 10. We plan on joining the twitter and Facebook crowds, we are going to be continually adding new categories and listings, in the future we hope to implement listing ratings for more detailed peer review, we also want to start a newsletter for big updates down the line.
