I am a single mother of five children whose ages range from eighteen down to five. We have dancers, footballers, rugby players and singers all living under one roof! Needless to say it is a happy combination of chaos and routines. Three teenagers in the house is eventful, although one is off to university later this year….sob, that makes me sad. I am a chocoholic, I have bred chocoholics. I love food, I like reading about food, talking about food, making food, making cakes! I love reading and now the children are getting older I am starting to get more time to read. I read anything that takes my fancy although it is not uncommon for me to have several books on the go. I don’t like to be defeated by one, even if it takes me a few years. I particularly like thrillers but read philosophy, magazines, teenage novels ( I like to know what the children are reading), self help books, books on addiction and of course cookery books. As I get older I am becoming increasingly obsessed with skincare, spending hours researching the latest miracle cream…as you do. We live in the beautiful English countryside overlooking rolling hills, lots of sheep and thousands of trees. When the sun goes down, it is dark…..but this brings out the stars and boy can we see them- beautiful! I spend a lot of time ferrying children around, the one downside of living in a rural location. However I love my children dearly, am immensely proud of them and love writing about them or taking pictures of them. This blog hopefully gives you a glimpse into our chaotic household.
