I grew up hearing that quote a lot as she flung that soapy dishrag across the kitchen table while cleaning up after a large, home cooked family meal. It wasn’t until after I got married that I started pondering that quote and finally seeing some truth to it. Holy crap Grandma Barb is right I thought to myself after being nosey studying the shopping carts of busy moms and noticing it chocked full of quick processed breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts. I’ve cooked a healthy meal with Dr. Oz and made some award winning mac and cheese for Nate Berkus and Curtis Stone. I’ve even had a private lunch with Oprah and President Obama! (just kidding about that last part but I totally had you for a second didn’t I? Hey a girl can dream!) I’ve done countless radio shows, spokesperson for Walmart’s holiday media tour, done a few commercials, developed recipes for major brands like Cracker Barrel and Hidden Valley ……ok I’m going to stop now because this just feels weird but I have more if you’re interested.
