Starting in 1972, the fun run attracts over 30,000 participants each year, from family and friends to key New Zealand corporate companies. The run begins in Auckland CBD on Quay St and finishes on the waterfront at St Heliers Bay. Ports of Auckland Round the Bays is owned and managed by Fairfax Media.
