- Key DifferentiatorThanks for your interest in advertising with Footballguys.com during the 2013 NFL pre- and/or regular season. We are excited to earn your business in our various ad venues. Allow us a moment to review these venues and rate sheets for your consideration. The Footballguys.com Daily Email update is sent out starting the Monday after the NFL Draft (April 29, 2013 this year) through the final week of regular season (we expect to wrap-up the Daily Email update on Monday, December 30, 2013 this year). This year will be the 14th year of the Footballguys.com Daily Email Update (the 13th volume from last season's NFL preseason is archived here: http://footballguys.com/updates.php), and the mailing list had grown to a number in excess of 250,000 opt-in subscribers as of August 2012, with 228,221 opt-in members as of April 1, 2013. We expect the number of subscribers to grow substantially by the end of August 2013 (well in excess of 300,000 members). For 2013, the ad rates for a 250-word (maximum) email ad formatted in a maximum of three paragraphs (plus a title line and a 150x150 pixel ad graphic) on the Footballguys.com Daily Email update will be: $350 per ad until July 1st $500 from July 1st - July 28th $600 from July 29th - August 11th $700 from August 12th - August 31st $400 per ad during the NFL regular season on individual Sunday-Wednesday updates, with Thursday-Saturday updates costing $300 per ad We are also going to allow email ad texts with bullet lists this year, but under the following conditions: There may be a two-sentence introductory paragraph (50 words maximum) and a two sentence concluding paragraph (50 words maximum). The bullet list is limited to a maximum of four bullet points, with a maximum of ten words per bullet point. The bullet point list must be single-spaced. A title line and 150x150 pixel ad graphic will also accompany the bullet-list ad option. All email ads will be formatted to match the existing font, font size, and font color on the Footballguys.com Daily Email Update. Up to three hyperlinks may be inserted into the ad text (and the title line and 150x150 graphic will also hyperlink to a URL of the customer's choice). Also new this year, we have ad space available on Footballguys.com breaking news emails. These ad spaces are not guaranteed to go out (they are dependent on the number of suitable NFL or Footballguys.com site news items that may be sent to the Footballguys.com Free Email update mailing list on any given week), but they don't have to be paid for in advance – we will bill customers only for the number of breaking news email ads sent for any given company at the end of August (on August 31, 2013) and the week before Christmas 2013 (December 16-20, 2013). Currently, the breaking news ad spaces are limited to text-only (no 150x150 graphic), though we hope to have graphic capability by July 1, 2013. We will accept only five reservations for breaking news ad items per week starting July 1, 2013, with a smaller roster of spots during May/June and after September 1, 2013. Ad texts submitted should be generic enough that they can be sent any day of a given week in the event that breaking news items are generated in that given week. The rate sheet for breaking news items that may be sent is as follows: $300 per ad until July 1st $450 from July 1st - July 28th $550 from July 29th - August 11th $650 from August 12th - August 31st $350 for ads during the NFL regular season There may be limited availability for post-season spots during January 2014 (check with me at wimerfootballguys@gmail.com for details on those spots if your company expects to run postseason ads during the 2014 NFL playoffs). The Footballguys.com The Audible podcast team recently released their 2,000th podcast and produced a total of 242 podcasts during 2012. The Audible is routinely the top-ranked fantasy football podcast on iTunes and is also available for download from the Footballguys.com site – here is the archive of the Audible podcasts on the Footballguys.com site, current to the most recently released episode: http://subscribers.footballguys.com/podcast/. Last year, there were 2,973,043 downloads of the Audible podcasts, with a high of 644,170 downloads during August 2012. Ad rates for Audible podcast ad spots during 2013 are as follows (all prices are for blocks of five 30-second ads – roughly one week's worth of ad spots depending on the time of year) $400 per block of five 30-second ads on the Audible until July 1, 2013 $500 July 2 to July 28, 2013 $600 from July 29th forward to the beginning of regular season $400 per block during regular season, with a run of 17 weeks - the entire regular season for any one ad space in one of our weekly podcast episodes - costing $1,200.00 per ad space (PLEASE NOTE: there are up to three ads in any given podcast) This year we are asking that podcast ad texts be submitted two weeks prior to the scheduled start date of the podcast ad run. The Audible's host who produces the podcast ads, Cecil Lammey, also works for ESPN and local sports radio in Denver, CO, covering the Broncos and the AFC West. He requires this lead time in order to produce (and have your company approve, in a timely fashion) the podcast ads. The following rates apply to the banner/button ad spaces (728x90, 250x300, and 160x600 pixel ad spaces on various pages of the site) during 2013, with a minimum purchase of 1 million ad impressions: $2.00 CPM for total ad purchases of $2,000 or less $1.75 CPM for total ad purchases of $2,001 - $4,999 $1.50 CPM for total ad purchases of $5,000 - $9,999 $1.25 CPM for total ad purchases $10,000 and up
