One Direction aren't the only heartthrobs making use of these apps. Sir Paul McCartney has released eight schmaltzy stickers on Line, where he has some 10 million followers. Sharing and sticking the former Beatle's likeness comes at $1.99 a pop. Line, which is dominant in Japan, has over 500 such sticker characters, whose sale -- together with in-game purchases -- raked in $338 million in revenue for Line's parent company in 2013. This month Line will open up a market for anyone to sell stickers. Over the weekend, the company trumpeted ambitious plans to hit one billion users by 2015.

Description:

We created Bounce because waiting in line is no fun, and we believe you can help change that.

Bounce will be your go-to app for wait time and foot traffic information for restaurants, bars, and coffee shops in Los Angeles. We need your help though, so come support us by reporting wait times. And don’t worry, we made reporting wait times and foot traffic information super easy (think 3 steps or less).

We believe that communities have the power to crowd source useful information that will change the way you experience Los Angeles. We want to give you more time doing the things you love, which we know is not standing in lines. Whether it’s date night, brunch with friends, or grabbing your morning coffee on the way to work, Bounce will help you plan everything more efficiently.

We know you will find this information just as useful as we do – join us on our mission to map wait times and foot traffic so you won’t be standing in line for hours anymore.

Cheers,
Bounce Team

P.S. We are launching in a few select areas within Los Angeles (Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Sawtelle, & Little Tokyo) and plan to expand soon.

P.P.S. Try out 3D touch on the list view when hard-pressing on a venue by the way. We think it’s pretty neat.

Note.
- Bounce uses GPS technology. Your location information may not be accurate when you are indoors.
- Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Crowd sourcing only works if you have a crowd

Novel idea, but I agree with the other poster that registering shouldn't be a requirement at the beginning. As it stands, barely anyone is using it so the reports are weeks/months old, oftentimes by the same two or three users. Crowd sourcing only works when you have a crowd.

Interesting idea; needs work.

Cool idea, but substantially lacking in the adoption dept. Updates are practically non-existent, it seems. A suggestion: signing-up for an account should be optional when browsing wait times. Many users (like me) are immediately turned off by apps that force you to register....which is probably the reason it took me over a month to finally go to the trouble of creating an account, now only to see that most venues haven't been updated in at least a week!! Draw me in without requiring a commitment and dazzle me with what the app has to offer. Make me want to go to the trouble of creating an account to help contribute to your crowd-sourced service. I'll check in on you again in another few months when you'll presumably cover more of LA and are more likely to have a following. For now, I'd strongly advise building your user base before forcing folks to commit to creating (and remembering) user credentials. Postpone the registration requirement until someone wants to submit an update.

Could be cool...

Why not link with Yelp? This app could be great but you can't add in locations or search outside a few areas (eg sawtelle, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, etc). If you could add places like Yelp it would be perfect but right now it's not close to being helpful. Too bad.

Has Potential

This app is a great idea for a pedestrian like me in a city like LA, which is trying to become much more pedestrian-friendly. Unfortunately, they don't have enough businesses or locations in the app to make it at all useful. Maybe someday it will be good.

Amazing😄😃😀😌😉😆

Worst App Ever🔪️

This app only lets you pick from locations they want. It doesn't let you pick where I live. It only gives you popular places. I want to give this 1/4 of a star.
Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Foundation also provides abstractions for common data types, facilitates internationalization with Unicode string storage, and offers a suite of utilities such as plug-in support, XML property lists, URL resource access, and preferences.
Launch Services
macOS Launch Services is an API that enables a running app to open other apps or their document files, similar to the Finder or the Dock.Launch Services eliminates apps having to query the Finder to open an app, document, or URL for them. The macOS Finder itself uses Launch Services to perform such tasks. Because the Finder performs no additional processing beyond calling Launch Services, any client using Launch Services for these purposes behaves identically to the Finder.
Quartz Core Framework
Allow users to browse, edit, and save images, using slideshows and Core Image filters. The Quartz Composer API supports processing and rendering graphical data and allows developers to create custom patches for the Quartz Composer developer tool. ImageKit provides user interface support for browsing, editing, and saving images, showing slideshows, and browsing and previewing Core Image filters. PDFKit is a technology that allows applications to display and manipulate PDF documents.
Security Framework
Secure the data your app manages. Protect information and control access to your app.
System Configuration F...
This collection of documents describes the programming interfaces of the System Configuration framework. The System Configuration framework provides functions that determine the reachability of target hosts in both a synchronous and an asynchronous manner. It also provides error detection facilities.
AVFoundation
The AV Foundation framework provides an Objective-C interface for managing and playing audio-visual media in iOS and OS X applications.
Core Graphics
The Core Graphics framework is based on the Quartz advanced drawing engine. It provides low-level, lightweight 2D rendering with unmatched output fidelity. You use this framework to handle path-based drawing, transformations, color management, offscreen rendering, patterns, gradients and shadings, image data management, image creation, and image masking, as well as PDF document creation, display, and parsing.
Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You use the classes and protocols in this framework to configure and schedule the delivery of location and heading events. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
Foundation Framework
The Foundation framework provides a base layer of functionality for apps and frameworks, including data storage and persistence, text processing, date and time calculations, sorting and filtering, and networking. The classes, protocols, and data types defined by Foundation are used throughout the macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS SDKs.
UIKit
The UIKit framework (UIKit.framework) provides the crucial infrastructure needed to construct and manage iOS apps. This framework provides the window and view architecture needed to manage an app’s user interface, the event handling infrastructure needed to respond to user input, and the app model needed to drive the main run loop and interact with the system.
