Hello! I’m Kayla. I’m from the beautiful state of Tennessee, where the summers are HOT and we bleed orange. I currently reside in a small mid west town in Illinois with my sweet Hubby. My first love is Jesus.. then my Hubby & Lucy (my sweet puppy, whom this blog is named after). Yes, you heard right. My blog is named after my dog. She is the inspiration behind the blog name and she often makes an appearance on the blog. I named the blog after her because she is so happy-go-lucky and light-hearted. She doesn’t have a care in the world and never meets a stranger. She makes everyone around her feel loved. That is exactly how I want lovelucygirl to be perceived. I want everyone who visits to feel a part of it and be happy they stopped by. I graduated college with a degree in PR & Marketing. I use those skills as the Public Relations Specialist at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center (the most awesome hospital around). lovelucygirl is a lifestyle blog for the everyday girl. Here you will find affordable style, beauty tips & tricks, home improvement & DIY projects and the ins and outs of a normal girl. I love timeless style but enjoy incorporating trends if they work on me. I love finding a good deal (i.e., TJMaxx, Nordstrom Rack & Ruelala). I like traveling, but would consider myself a homebody. I love my sweet little house and being curled up on the couch with my hubby & puppy. I like DIY projects, even if I mess up the first few times and I love improving/decorating my home.
