Hi, I’m Onica. I was born in Guyana, South America, but lived in the New York City area for the past 30 something years. I am "Mommy" to a biracial boy. I started The Mommy Factor to share my opinion as a African-Caribbean mother on parenting, pr / media events, fashion, technology, product reviews, giveaways, and much more After joining the "mom blogging" community I was invited to Walt Disney World to learn about and give feedback for The Princess and The Frog, their first Disney movie featuring an African American princess. I'm currently working on more project which includes guest blogging on various sites that promote a positive image of black women as mothers within the parenting community.
