Hello! Welcome to Northern Illinois Couponing! Im so glad you are here. My name is Kelly and I am the owner of Northern Illinois Couponing. I also have a full time job and two wonderful children. I have been couponing since 1994 (back in the days here in Rockford where Logli and Hilander would triple and double coupons on Sundays!) I absolutely love finding great deals! No I am not a hoarder. I do NOT have shelves in my garage full of laundry detergent or toilet paper under my kids’ beds! I do NOT encourage people to have 300 bottles of laundry detergent or 500 bottles of ibuprofen. No one needs that much! I encourage readers to learn about sale cycles and how to maximize savings by using coupons on those sales. I also encourage donation. Start a small bag in your closet. See something in a store that you can get for free but that you do not want or need? Get it and put it in the bag. When the bag is full donate it. Just think about how much of an impact we could all make if everyone donated just one bag of items each year! But I do love to save! So: In August 2011 Northern Illinois Couponing Moms was born on Facebook. In October 2011 Northern Illinois Couponing web blog was born and got our first media coverage in the Rockford Register Star! Sept 2012 Northern Illinois Couponing had its first TV interview/story on WIFR In December 2012 Northern Illinois Couponing did a second TV interview focused on couponing for donations And I have never looked back! I truly love couponing. One thing I pride myself on with this blog and Facebook pages are that I interact with my readers! I see many of you out and about around Rockford. I get to know you through comments and posts on Facebook and through coupon classes. I think that is an important part of what I do here. I make this a place where people can ask questions and help each other! I also pride myself on letting you know the deals right here in the stateline! Yes I provide you with sale ad coupon match ups that are for national (as well as local stores), but I think it is important to let readers know what they can find at their local stores :) So please make yourself at home here on our blog and Facebook page!
