Our Mission “The mission of pac-10sports.com is to promote high school athletics, principally in the 10-school Pioneer Athletic Conference located in southeastern Pennsylvania. Kurtz, Publisher/Editor/Founder During a distinguished 25-year career in the newspaper industry, Kurtz has served as sports editor and sports staff writer at The Mercury (Pottstown) and Times Herald (Norristown). He has earned state (PNPA) and national (Suburban Newspapers of America) writing awards. A 1977 graduate of the University of Maryland where he was a three-year starter on the varsity baseball team, Kurtz has been inducted into the Tri-County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and Perkiomen Valley Twilight League Hall of Fame.
