Searchbuster.org went live in November 2006 to categorize and list interesting and unique websites on various general topics and subjects. Belinda Stockton created the Searchbuster Directory originally using a popular directory script and over time moved the directory to a very versatile custom script built using Php and utilising a mysql database. Due to server load increases as the directory gained popularity the need arose to move the directory and database to a dedictaed server. Hostgator provided such a server featuring quad core 64bit technology on a high bandwidth internet backbone. Belinda manages the server and directory daily and ensures everything is running smoothly. Belinda's background includes web development through various languages and platforms such as css, html, php/mysql database management and linux-apache server administration. Belinda has also been involved with search engine optimization since 2000 and has a very keen interest in search engines and the directory industries in general. Belinda edits at a number of directories besides Searchbuster as she believes this greatly improves ontology and categorization skills in general. The Searchbuster Directory employs 3 part-time skilled editors to manually edit and categorize websites and we pride ourselves on our small but unique quality of database listings. Category Sponsorship We give users the opportunity to sponsor any category in the directory. Sponsoring a category will list your site at the top of the page for that category and give your listing more exposure to users. A fee is payable in yearly installments.The fee is used for the continuation of providing our directory services. Category sponsorship is subject to our submission guidelines and all submitted sites are vetted with the same stringent editorial integrity as with regular submissions. Multiple Submissions We can provide a special bulk submission price if you have a number of sites, although this does not mean all your sites will be accepted.
