Germany Sestatee (b. Sebastian Swigon, Germany), is a musician who had the misfortune to grow up in the rather grim surroundings of post-modernist prefab estates. But when it comes to his own music, these memories have not translated into melancholy or darkness - with grace, humour and subtlety Sestatee skilfully twists timeless easy listening grooves and current beats into a tricky, laid-back big band sound. Above and beyond his many releases, awards for short film scores and compositions for other bands this media-shy all-rounder has already supported a number of well known acts (like Massive Attack) and fosters young, unknown artists.
