All About Me: I’m Pam, a small town Georgia blogger who lives near Chattanooga, Tennessee and relishes life near the “big city.” I’m an imperfect of mom to a family that includes a college aged daughter, her fiance, a sixteen year old boy and a ten year old boy. I’m also a “fur mom” to a trio of spoiled cats, Okie, Mitzie, and Sassie, and a Corgie Mix, Rio. I am also passionate about rescuing abused and abandoned animals and am a foster pet mom for the local animal shelter. In my past life I was an elementary school & special ed teacher who has moved on into homeschooling the kids and teaching a couple of high school classes on the side. In my spare time I like to read, cook, travel and find ways to live the good life on a budget. I’m nothing like June Cleaver, but I am trying to balance family and work –without the heels and pearls. My work has been featured in Children’s Playmate Magazine, on the US Kids Magazines Website and in PreK Holidays and Seasonal Celebrations teaching magazine and their book, “Best of PreK Holidays and Seasonal Celebrations“. I have had featured recipes on the Good Cook Blog and featured guest posts on the World’s Best Cat Litter blog. As editor/owner of Simply Southern Mom, I am responsible for blog content, photography, social media management and product/sponsor promotion. I like to help busy moms “have it all” by sharing recipes, tips, crafts and ideas to have fun without breaking the bank. I also cover product reviews, giveaways, restaurant reviews and travel, including local and national events and places of interest, plus blogger events.
