History of Skijumping.pl
The idea of creating a ski jumping site spawned in the summer of 2000. At that time, Tadeusz Mieczyński (Editor-in-Chief) and Andrzej Dąbrowski recognized that there was no real ski jumping site in the Polish Internet.
Thanks to help and support from Mr Darek Benert from GD.PL, the service from the very beginning was able to boast of a professional server and catchy address (at www.skoki.inf.pl). Website patch in 2000 and 2001
The first version of the site, made in modern times, flash technology, was found on the Internet in early November 2000.
The beginning of the season in no way predicted a boom that would soon embrace the whole of Poland, under the influence of the success of Adam Malysz.
Since the very beginning of our existence, our website has tried to introduce innovative solutions and ideas. As a result, such sections as "Jumping Films", where ski jumping fans could and to this day have been able to watch the best jumps of each competition.
In 2001, thanks to cooperation with Mrs Iwona Ząbecka (then jumping judge in Zakopane), we signed a contract for cooperation with the Polish Ski Association and the Tatra Ski Association, which resulted in the TZN website run by our editors and a website devoted to the Polish jungle team - Www.skoki.pzn.pl
Website patch in 2002Since then, the site has changed almost everything. We have changed our graphic design three times, trying to find a "golden center" between the pleasing graphics and the speed of action. The service also changed the address. In 2001 and 2002, we promoted the website at www.skoki. narciarskie.pl. In April 2002 we decided that the new address of the site would be www.skijumping.pl - which address is valid today and we hope it is easy to remember and enter.
For various reasons, the editorial department of "Skijumping.pl" is constantly changing and evolving. Of the people who supported our work in the first season of its existence, only Bartłomiej Boczek (KoPiernik) and Tadeusz Mieczyński (tad) remained.

Website patch in 2003We are currently working to provide ski jumping enthusiasts with the latest information on this discipline, from all over the world, with an emphasis on our Polish jumps. We want first of all to convince the "freshly baked" jumping fans in Poland that this sport is not just Adam Malysz ... We also
constantly publish the jumping history texts so that every modern fan can get acquainted with the old (often forgotten) Polish representatives of this discipline.
"Skijumping.pl" cooperates with many foreign and Polish media in order to be able to fully inform about all events connected with ski jumping. Our website was cited by many respected newspapers and websites such as Review of Sports, Onet or Wirtualna Polska.
