Based out of Southern California, the online and in print publication was founded by Chula Vista, CA resident and former Tucson Arizona resident Gwen Pierce and mom, Lula Hunter. The Chocolate Voice was established to communicate positive articles that sweeten the soul as they relate to personal experiences relating to the African American and multicultural community.
