I am a “forty something” stay at home mother with an abundant life! Before I got married and had kids, I worked as a music therapist for several years in Chicago’s inpatient psychiatric hospitals. I then moved to residential group homes managing creative arts and recreation programming, which was an amazing experience. In that time of my life, I learned and grew to know the pain and suffering of so many people. It was incredibly fulfilling to be a part of their healing. I then moved to Columbus, Ohio to live near my sister and her family. I started my own business teaching music in various private schools and home school co-ops, meeting wonderful children and parents! Several years later, I stopped teaching due to the ever- growing need to focus on caring for my children. The burden of their medical ailments was consuming and I felt compelled to provide my total attention to them. They have since grown over the past few years into healthy active kids, and I thank God every single day for this blessing! Although we endured a decade of pain and suffering during that challenging season, I am finding purpose in it all. I presently spend my days doing the ‘mom thing’, volunteering at school,spending time with friends, writing, volunteering, and serving in many ministries at church. I host a women’s group in my home as well as a wonderful church small group. I have recently embraced the call to be a Youth Ministry Leader for my wonderful church. I do pray that God can use me in all of these areas, to encourage growth and inspire strength. This is my hope, and my purpose. I am blessed to have this platform to reach countless women and connect with so many beautiful hearts, while developing deep and lasting bonds. I am also incredibly ‘full-filled’ with the rich relationships I encounter in my ministries and faithful friendships that surround me in real life. How did I start this blog? I have always had a passion for writing, and I have been working on a diary for each of my children since the moment I was pregnant with them. I decided to “venture” into a new venue as my dear husband encouraged me to start this blog. I love to connect with people and especially love to look at and reflect on life circumstances with humor, inspiration, and faith.
