It owns the weekly Petaluma Argus-Courier, North Bay Business Journal in Santa Rosa and the Sonoma Index-Tribune and Sonoma Magazine. The Press Democrat and its flagship website, pressdemocrat.com, covers news in Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake counties.

Paid for ads? Seriously?

What is new but not mentioned with the latest version is an ad banner across the bottom. I pay for online access to the PD. If the ad banner cannot be made to go away I will cancel this subscription

Disappointment

Once again a sub par app from the PD, Just can't seem to get it right. I'm a subscriber and get so frustrated having to sign in constantly I don't even want to use the app. PD go to any other news outlet and copy them. I mean come on!

Garbage...kinda like their reporting

The app is right on par along with their reporting. It does not work very well but I think that is their goal so, good job PD. Keep up the biased reporting as well

This New York Times owned paper is very biased to the left. Also one of the worst apps I've ever used.

I am in the process of moving to the area and was concerned that I might not find a local news app as good as the one where I live right now. No need to worry- the PD app is well done and reasonably priced. I don't understand people that think this kind of a service should be free. I'll gladly pay $10 a month to have the local news I want, in the format I want it, while helping support journalism. I'm also happy to see there are no comment sections. There's a place for that- it's called Facebook.
