    The concept for this blog is really quite simple. When I decided to start The Savvy Sista, I was basically looking for a site that contained the type of information that I was looking for on a daily basis; everything from pop culture to politics while maintaining an African American slant. You see, my taste when it comes to information, is not one dimensional. I am interested in a wide array of topics and thus I wanted to see a blog that shared that sentiment. During that time, no such blog existed. The most popular blogs were all focused on gossip and celebrities. Now don't get me wrong, I like my fair share of gossip just like the next person, but that is not the totality of my intellectual being. I need more to sustain me and thus that is the reason The Savvy Sista was created.
