We are two men with green fingers and a so-called garden. So not a garden of 200 square meters you see every week on TV where Louis of "Own Home and Garden" a complete excavator can drive through. A garden of 10 to 20 square meters, or a balcony in Amsterdam or Utrecht, full in the wind, that's quite something. Fortunately, we men are easily satisfied. But not when it comes to information about gardens and balconies, as we delve many hours on Google for really good information instead of the sometimes one-sided written information from online shops or forums for green enthusiasts that we still do not really feel at home. Our motivation to start this blog in May 2011 was simply because we needed ourselves gardening advice. Mathieu for a city and geveltuin in Utrecht and Olaf for a roof terrace on the 5th floor in Amsterdam West. Getting Started on Google we were few sites that could inspire against us in simple terms to get started with gardening by the square meter. So tuinenbalkon.nl was born during a brainstorming in the Vondelpark in Amsterdam. We are now some years further Mathieu and now lives in Stockholm and Olaf's work brought him to Brooklyn, New York.
