The Arlington Heights Memorial Library maintains the Arlington Heights Community Information web site. The Arlington Heights Memorial Library has more than 60 computers available for public use. Library cardholders can also check out a laptop to use within the library. The Arlington Heights Memorial Library is also a wireless (wifi) hotspot. Sixty-seven percent of Arlington Heights residents hold library cards. A card from the Arlington Heights Memorial Library entitles cardholders to borrowing privileges at all public libraries. Live homework help for students in grades 4_12 and college intro is available on the libraryÍs web site through Tutor.com. The bookmobile stops in 29 Arlington Heights neighborhoods bringing the latest books, DVDs, music and more. In addition, Village residents who are temporarily or permanently homebound due to an illness or physical disability may have library items brought to their homes through the Library Visitor Program. Participants may request books, audiobooks, videos, and other materials that will be delivered monthly by a library volunteer. The Library meets other Special Needs as well. The library sponsors seven book discussions at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library and two more at the Arlington Heights Senior Center in addition to a film discussion group. The library also maintains a Reading Room and Computer Room at the Senior Center. The Literacy Office at the library has eight computers with software to improve English skills, conversation programs and adult basic reading books. The library also offers free literacy/ESL classes in cooperation with Township High School District 214. The Arlington Heights Memorial Library has books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and books on CD in 17 different world languages.

Update app please

Please update this app. I just tried to open the app and got a message saying. This app may slow down your iOS device. The developer needs to update the app. I don't get this message on apps that were updated recently only apps that have not been updated in a while.

Love the App

I use this every day. It changed the way I use the library. I wish it had some of the features of the main site, such as searching other libraries that are part of the Inter-Library loan system.

Tracking

Make sure you turn off tracking .This app tries to track your location at all times when your phone is on.

Doesn't work

Terrible app – does not let you even login! Try disabling and reinstalling it – no luck. Alerted library to the problem – no luck. Truly disappointing – don't waste your space on this one.

Too many new issues with IOS 7

Was a useful tool, and was easier to request items for express pickup than the website. But major issues with IOS 7 - most notably, I can only login successfully about 1 out of every 20 attempts. Hope they resolve this soon.

Notifications

It would be really helpful if this app could send notifications when an item is ready to be picked up or when materials are due. For instance a reminder a day before or the day of, or even having the option of setting reminders.
