Aphetit ® est fourni à titre de service, destinée aux personnes ayant été diagnostiquées comme atteintes de phénylcétonurie (PCU) et à leur entourage par BioMarin International Ltd.
L’application a pour but d’accompagner, de façon quotidienne, la gestion de leur régime alimentaire et donc d’appréhender au mieux cette maladie héréditaire du métabolisme ; grâce à 4 fonctionnalités principales permettant de :
Gérer facilement les apports de phénylalanine au quotidien, en renseignant pour chaque repas, les fruits et légumes ou aliments du commerce consommés.

Suivre l’évolution du taux sanguin de phénylalanine en saisissant régulièrement ses résultats d’analyses. L’exportation des données sur un fichier excel est possible.

Découvrir une trentaine de recettes faciles à réaliser et plus encore grâce au lien vers le site internet de l’association de patients « Les Feux Follets ».

Convertir les taux de Phénylalanine en un clic selon les unités utilisées par le laboratoire d’analyse (peuvent être différentes selon les régions)

C’est aussi la possibilité d’utiliser Aphetit ® pour plusieurs membres de votre famille grâce à la gestion multi-profils de l’application.

La phénylcétonurie ou PCU est une maladie héréditaire du métabolisme qui touche 1 nouveau né sur 17 800 en France, cela représente 47 nouveaux cas par an. (source AFDPHE 2012). La phénylcétonurie est due à un taux anormalement élevé de phénylalanine (acide aminé) dans le sang, pouvant entraîner des dommages cérébraux et des retards mentaux sévères.
Cet acide aminé est présent dans les aliments et plus précisément dans les protéines. . Le dépistage est le test de Guthrie, pratiqué chez tous les nouveaux nés. La tolérance à la phénylalanine équivaut à la quantité de Phénylalanine qu’un patient peut consommer, par jour, tout en maintenant des taux sanguins dans les normes.
