The Comfort Group was founded by the current owners' forbearers in 1935 and has actively grown through organic growth and strategic acquisition, most recently with the purchase in both NZ and Australia of the SleepMaker bedding and Dunlop Foams businesses. The business includes the SleepMaker, Sleepyhead, Simmons, Dunlopillo, Design Mobel and Serta bedding brands and flexible foam manufacturer, Dunlop Foams. In New Zealand the group also manufactures carpet underlay.
