From time to time, the Canary auto-mode switching feature may briefly access your GPS in order to have high confidence in your location. Battery life is very important to us and we do many things to ensure we use it sparingly. Please be aware that continued use of GPS services running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

What happened to the notifications? I haven't received a notification in weeks yet I open the app and see activity that should warrant a notification.

What idiot changed the software?

I used to love my Canary. I have them in two homes. In the second home I have two and was easily able to see on both devices, but the software got changed and now I can only see Live on one of them. You have taken a function away that was there. If you are going to make software changes make it so they are compatible with all previous versions and features. My second home is an airplane ticket away, I counted on these for security, now I am blinded in one of the devices. Terrible!

Please use geofencing!

At some point this app was updated to use fine-grained location info. This is a battery killer. Please update to use geofencing instead like you used to. This was requested several versions ago. It's still not fixed. This isn't rocket science.

Love my Canary

I've had nothing but a good experience with my Canary system. I'm seeing all these negative reviews but I can say that I'm perfectly happy with mine. I travel for work and am gone 3-4 days each week. Canary has been a great investment. Helps me keep peace of mind when it comes to my apartment and me not being there. I've had my apartment's maintenance team work on my place while I'm away and Canary notifies me instantly when they enter my home. No long delay in the video feed. Overall, I love my Canary.

New release design poor

The new release doesn't include a place where you can look at the timelines between two locations. There needs to be a summary view of all connected canaries. The new release does it allow you to do this intuitively.

Core Location Framework
