La CorporaciÑ Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals (CCMA) va n_ixer el 30 de maig del 1983, amb lÍaprovaciÑ per unanimitat de totes les forces polÕtiques del Parlament dÍuna llei que es convertia en una de les primeres lleis aprovades per la cambra catalana.
LÍexigncia a qu sÑn sotmesos els mitjans de la CCMA queda palesa tant en els criteris per al compliment de la seva missiÑ de servei pÏblic com en els principis inspiradors i les lÕnies d'actuaciÑ de la programaciÑ, establerts a la Llei 11/2007 d'11 d'octubre de 2007.
Finalment, el Llibre d'estil, aprovat pel Consell de Govern el 28 de juliol del 2010, recull les directrius per a la producciÑ i difusiÑ de continguts dels mitjans audiovisuals de la Generalitat de Catalunya, aixÕ com els valors i principis de servei pÏblic, compromÕs amb el paÕs, qualitat de continguts i transparncia i eficincia en la gestiÑ.
