Cuny Graduate School Of Journalism
We are the only publicly funded graduate journalism school in the heart of New York City; indeed, in the entire Northeast. Our mission is to serve the public interest _ by training new journalists who will bring much-needed diversity to newsrooms, by helping mid-career journalists retool their skills, and by partnering with other media organizations to find new paths to excellence. We offer a 16-month M.A in Journalism with a paid summer internship, a 20-month M.A. in Entrepreneurial Journalism that follows the regular curriculum with an extra semester focusing on innovation in the news business, and a 16-month M.A. in Social Journalism that recasts journalism as a service to engage communities. We also feature an M.A. in Journalism with a unique Spanish-language component and a 15-week Advanced Certificate in Entrepreneurial Journalism for working journalists and media professionals. Our low tuition rates, along with the added backing of private donors, allow candidates for our three masterÍs degrees „ in journalism, entrepreneurial journalism, and social journalism „ and our Advanced Certificate in Entrepreneurial Journalism to receive a world-class education at an affordable price. Our three media centers provide research, training, thought leadership, industry meet-ups, and financial support for quality journalistic work. We also offer a robust professional education program through regular evening and weekend workshops. And we support in-depth reporting projects of professional journalists through fellowship grants. Classes are led by accomplished full-time faculty and adjuncts, who tap their networks to help students and graduates find internships, freelance opportunities and „ the ultimate prize „ jobs. At a time when our profession is reeling from financial pressures and lack of trust, the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism is committed to producing the next generation of skilled, ethically minded, and diverse journalists.

Not Really Cunyfirst

The app operates more like Blackboard than CUNY first and hardly offers an useful options like scheduling, planner, or searching for classes. People use your CUNY PORTAL ID to login, NOT your Cunyfirst.

Poor

I am trying to login with correct user and password but it always rejects saying I'm entering wrong password

Decent

The app overall is pretty decent, it's helps me see my schedule quick and easy with is a plus. But I wish it could do much more then that, like add or drop classes and do class search. Also, I'm guessing it's a little confusing to people to sign in with their "cuny portal log in" and not their "cuny first log in" , considering the fact that this is a Cuny First app 🤔

Finally

Unable to log into my CunyFirst account

I have tried several times to log into my Cunyfirst account. But everytime I try to go into my account, a error message comes up and I am unable to log in.

Not helpful

My class schedule is not accurate and the texts needed (at least for CUNY Law) are not listed. Also, the typeface looks like it was scanned in from a typewriter. Why?
Core Graphics
The Core Graphics framework is based on the Quartz advanced drawing engine. It provides low-level, lightweight 2D rendering with unmatched output fidelity. You use this framework to handle path-based drawing, transformations, color management, offscreen rendering, patterns, gradients and shadings, image data management, image creation, and image masking, as well as PDF document creation, display, and parsing.
Launch Services
macOS Launch Services is an API that enables a running app to open other apps or their document files, similar to the Finder or the Dock.Launch Services eliminates apps having to query the Finder to open an app, document, or URL for them. The macOS Finder itself uses Launch Services to perform such tasks. Because the Finder performs no additional processing beyond calling Launch Services, any client using Launch Services for these purposes behaves identically to the Finder.
Security Framework
Secure the data your app manages. Protect information and control access to your app.
System Configuration F...
This collection of documents describes the programming interfaces of the System Configuration framework. The System Configuration framework provides functions that determine the reachability of target hosts in both a synchronous and an asynchronous manner. It also provides error detection facilities.
Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Foundation also provides abstractions for common data types, facilitates internationalization with Unicode string storage, and offers a suite of utilities such as plug-in support, XML property lists, URL resource access, and preferences.
CoreText
Core Text provides a low-level programming interface for laying out text and handling fonts. The Core Text layout engine is designed for high performance, ease of use, and close integration with Core Foundation. The text layout API provides high-quality typesetting, including character-to-glyph conversion, with ligatures, kerning, and so on. The complementary Core Text font technology provides automatic font substitution (cascading), font descriptors and collections, easy access to font metrics and glyph data, and many other features.
Foundation Framework
The Foundation framework provides a base layer of functionality for apps and frameworks, including data storage and persistence, text processing, date and time calculations, sorting and filtering, and networking. The classes, protocols, and data types defined by Foundation are used throughout the macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS SDKs.
MessageUI
The Message UI framework provides specialized view controllers for presenting standard composition interfaces for email and SMS (Short Messaging Service) text messages. Use these interfaces to add message delivery capabilities without requiring the user to leave your app.
Quartz Core Framework
Allow users to browse, edit, and save images, using slideshows and Core Image filters. The Quartz Composer API supports processing and rendering graphical data and allows developers to create custom patches for the Quartz Composer developer tool. ImageKit provides user interface support for browsing, editing, and saving images, showing slideshows, and browsing and previewing Core Image filters. PDFKit is a technology that allows applications to display and manipulate PDF documents.
UIKit
The UIKit framework (UIKit.framework) provides the crucial infrastructure needed to construct and manage iOS apps. This framework provides the window and view architecture needed to manage an app’s user interface, the event handling infrastructure needed to respond to user input, and the app model needed to drive the main run loop and interact with the system.
