Founded in 1986, the Emerald Cultural Institute has built up a worldwide reputation for professionalism and academic excellence. Students come from 60 different countries worldwide to study at our Institute. As an ISO 9001:2000 accredited school our primary objective is quality, and we aim is to provide all our students with the fullest and most satisfying educational and cultural experience. We also run summer courses in Sligo in the West of Ireland and New York. Our year-round centre is located in a Victorian mansion in a prime residential district within easy reach of Dublin city centre. Set in its own gardens, and overlooking the beautiful Palmerston Park, it offers students the chance to study in a peaceful and stress-free environment and yet the city centre is only a short tram journey away. Our excellent facilities here include 2 multi-media language laboratories and free wireless Internet access throughout the campus.

Emerald Life is the official app from the Emerald Cultural Institute for our adult students in our Irish schools. It includes a First Day section, Staff Profiles and sections on our three adult schools in Dublin. As well as academic information, the app has school and transport maps and a guide to cultural sites in Dublin. The app also includes our Student Handbook, a student-feedback form and a direct link to our Emerald Life Support Site, where you can find lots of information on your course.

The Emerald Cultural Institute is an international language school and professional-development institute welcoming students and teachers from over 50 countries since 1986. We have schools and centres in Ireland, the UK and the US. We also deliver courses to governments and private institutions from primary to university-level across Europe and Russia.

Core Graphics
The Core Graphics framework is based on the Quartz advanced drawing engine. It provides low-level, lightweight 2D rendering with unmatched output fidelity. You use this framework to handle path-based drawing, transformations, color management, offscreen rendering, patterns, gradients and shadings, image data management, image creation, and image masking, as well as PDF document creation, display, and parsing.
Launch Services

Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You use the classes and protocols in this framework to configure and schedule the delivery of location and heading events. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
Foundation Framework
The Foundation framework provides a base layer of functionality for apps and frameworks, including data storage and persistence, text processing, date and time calculations, sorting and filtering, and networking. The classes, protocols, and data types defined by Foundation are used throughout the macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS SDKs.
Quartz Core Framework
Allow users to browse, edit, and save images, using slideshows and Core Image filters.The Quartz Composer API supports processing and rendering graphical data and allows developers to create custom patches for the Quartz Composer developer tool. ImageKit provides user interface support for browsing, editing, and saving images, showing slideshows, and browsing and previewing Core Image filters. PDFKit is a technology that allows applications to display and manipulate PDF documents.
UIKit
The UIKit framework (UIKit.framework) provides the crucial infrastructure needed to construct and manage iOS apps. This framework provides the window and view architecture needed to manage an app’s user interface, the event handling infrastructure needed to respond to user input, and the app model needed to drive the main run loop and interact with the system.
