Engaging and educational

VersaMate kept my 4th grade daughter engaged for several hours when we first downloaded the sample activities. She has not had much fraction instruction yet this year, so she mostly enjoyed the "Identifying Fractions" selection. She figured out the strategy of choosing outer tiles early, so has beat me several times. Because she was having so much fun, I purchased the Fractions pack. Was I ever thrilled when she came downstairs (after being suspiciously quiet for an hour or so one Sunday) and told me she had learned to add like fractions. She simply watched the computer play itself and that taught her what to do. I found the music a little annoying, but when I muted it, she missed it. Overall, I think this app will really help her practice fraction skills over the next few years. Knowing that I won't have to do that (or that if I do, it will be fun) thrills me! Thank you VersaMate.

Great new app!

This is a great math app. My first graders can even do the fraction matching. I love that it requires them to think about a little strategy.
