How it works: Answer some simple questions about last year. Did you have a job? Did you have a mortgage? Did you have charitable deductions? Then EY TaxChat provides a price quote tailored to your situation.

You can easily submit your tax documents by taking pictures to upload through the app on a smartphone or tablet, or by uploading via the Cloud or computer. In addition, the platform’s chat function allows users to connect to an EY professional to ask questions at any time during the process.

Once your preparer has all the information, the tax return is then prepared and sent to the individual for review and approval before EY files it on your behalf with state and federal authorities.

User friendly app thanks to friendly professionals

My 2020 tax return experience was fabulous due to the intuitive functionalities of the app and thanks to very knowledgeable and responsive people, particularly Ramakrishna Venkat Madhira. Not any difficulty at all on either early stage or late stages. It was an easy and digestible experience from point A to Z. Thanks for running such a functional app!!

Not Worth the Money

The service is very expensive, but they aren’t very knowledgeable about the rules for individual state taxes.

Excellent

Technically, the app is really user friendly and the exchange of documents is very smooth. The experience with the tax experts is great too: they are fast and thorough and always ready to explain any doubts. As a foreigner, getting the personal taxes done by E&Y has been a life saver! I am so glad that they created this service! Will definitely use them again next year.

Personal experience

I have been a tax chat user for 3 years, and i have been papirer with the same tax professionel each year who would remember what we discussed earlier years and the Big reason i rate this 5 stars is the people behind. So responsive, no question was too small and great at following up to make sure i submitted my documentation on time. Thank you!

Friendly, knowledgeable and so easy!!!!

This was my first time using EY TaxChat. It was so easy and quick. My tax preparer was very knowledgeable, professional and in contact with me every step of the way. They were less expensive than the person I had been using and I didn’t even have to leave my house! Will definitely use them next year.

Incredibly easy and simple tax filing

I’ve used a multitude of other tax filing services including in-person services - by far EY TaxChat provides the best and simplest service of them all. You can connect real-time with a professional to answer your tax filing questions. This is a must use service for young professionals with relatively basic portfolios.

Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You use the classes and protocols in this framework to configure and schedule the delivery of location and heading events. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
AVFoundation
The AV Foundation framework provides an Objective-C interface for managing and playing audio-visual media in iOS and OS X applications.
Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Foundation also provides abstractions for common data types, facilitates internationalization with Unicode string storage, and offers a suite of utilities such as plug-in support, XML property lists, URL resource access, and preferences.
Core Graphics
The Core Graphics framework is based on the Quartz advanced drawing engine. It provides low-level, lightweight 2D rendering with unmatched output fidelity. Foundation Framework
The Foundation framework provides a base layer of functionality for apps and frameworks, including data storage and persistence, text processing, date and time calculations, sorting and filtering, and networking. The classes, protocols, and data types defined by Foundation are used throughout the macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS SDKs.
Launch Services
macOS Launch Services is an API that enables a running app to open other apps or their document files, similar to the Finder or the Dock.Launch Services eliminates apps having to query the Finder to open an app, document, or URL for them. The macOS Finder itself uses Launch Services to perform such tasks. Because the Finder performs no additional processing beyond calling Launch Services, any client using Launch Services for these purposes behaves identically to the Finder.
