Almost unusable. If there was another source for local obits I would delete it.
Can't believe they released this "upgrade" in this condition. Almost impossible to navigate. Page does not respond to swipes and taps at least half the time. And when it does respond there is no way to get it to stop scrolling on the story you want.
Not really surprised considering the quality of their desktop website.

Consistent in crashing
9/10 times the app crashes while I use it. I only keep it around because it is the only place for me to get my local news stories.

Good app
This is a good app, loads quickly, highlight stories and information. You do have to scroll through a bit to get to the current news because the first sections contain the top stories plus 2-3 related ones. Crashes every now and then but not often and usually when there are too many other open apps.

Lack of Stamford content!
It's called the STAMFORD Advocate for a reason - people want stories and news about what's happening in Stamford. I hate to break it to Hearst Media Group, but if people want relevant regional or national news, there's this thing called the Internet and about a million more relevant apps, websites and medium outlets where we can get that news.
The fact that just a fraction (3 out of the first 10 stories were event related to Stamford (and in most cases, it's just a simple crime report!) it's an absolute waste of an app. This unfortunately mirrors the cost-saving approach Hearst takes toward the print and online versions: "hey, let's hire a person to write one Fairfield County-related stories and distribute it across all of our "local" papers and save big!".
The app is also not clean or easy to navigate, but who would want to anyway.
They could do so much better, but sadly, they'll probably die a slow death like most old media groups.

Core Location Framework
