Description:

Welcome to the Houston Museum of Natural Science’s new Morian Hall of Paleontology. We created this app to help you optimize your exploration through the hall, which encompasses more than 4 billion years and hundreds of species. From the Giant Ground Sloths that once ambled around the greater Houston area to the Gorgon that roamed Russia, we’ve got it all right here. What are you waiting for? It’s all at your fingertips.

App does NOT do justice to a great exhibition!

I LOVE the Morian Hall of Paleontology at HMNS, but this app is lacking. The photos are too small and dim. The app doesn't scroll well and it's slow at times. Where is the photo of the Julie Raptor? There's text, but no photo of it. I sincerely hope that improvements/updates will soon be coming to this app and it will truly show how amazing this place is.

Good, but could be better

I love the idea of this app as it gets our Houston kids excited about visiting the exhibit and others not near-by information about the wonderful exhibit and maybe want to visit Houston. Just a couple of things could make it better... There is a lot of written material, which while not necessarily a bad thing, actually takes up more space than the photos of the specimens, which are the real draw for many...especially kids. So I would suggest at least the ability to do a screen finger spread to enlarge the picture or a larger picture for many that could be clicked or scrolled. There're we're a couple of things referred to in the written pieces that I could not find because the pictures were so small. There also was one picture not present...I think it was Julie. Overall a very nice app, must love the field so much would love to see it even better. Will be showing it to my students...Dino lovers, all!
