This app is free to download; you will be able to search both IMO® Problem (IT) diagnosis and IMO® Procedure(IT) procedure databases, and IMO® Problem (IT) diagnosis terms will include all relevant ICD-9-CM information.

The subscription version of this app supports the following billable codes:

IMO® Problem (IT) naturally provides clinicians the language necessary to capture their care intent in clinical terms, while also providing the best billable ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM codes. IMO® Problem (IT) solves the complication of forcing clinicians to remember and use the often awkward and cumbersome billing dictionaries of ICD-9-CM or ICD-10-CM coding language when documenting in clinical situations.
In a similar fashion, IMO® Procedure (IT) provides resolution in capturing the clinical intent for procedure orders from health care providers, and in return provides standard code set maps; HCPCS, ICD-9-CM Volume 3 Procedures, and SNOMED CT® codes.

All content is kept current though monthly releases; following editorial guidelines we also accept user input to improve our content.

This is an excellent ICD-9 coder. Much better at that than Epocrates because it lets you enter more than one search term ie leg pain. I use it constantly and so do others at my Clinic. Epocrates is very good for drug and their price.

Nice Look Up

The IMO app is great for when I need to look up ICD-9 and CPT codes in my practice. What is really nice is that I can be more specific than what the ICD permits and tag it on my problem list so I can provide the most precise care for my patients. Not at ICD-10 yet, but I will be prepared with the IMO app!

Warning: Free version has bugs!

Warning… the free version of this software appears to contain significant coding errors. I searched for "thoracic compression fracture" and it returned the ICD-9 code of "410.90", which is actually the code for "Acute Myocardial Infarction", but that code was incorrectly matched with the description of "Closed fracture of thoracic vertebra…". There is nothing worse than coding software that doesn't code correctly! The one saving grace was I emailed support and had a reply within an hour. They acknowledged the error and stated the subscription version ($10/month) is correct. But $10/month is too expensive for this product in my opinion. So I'm giving it two stars for the quick reply, and will gladly revise it upward when they fix this error.
