Description:

The official iPhone application from La Marzocco.

La Marzocco S.r.l. had its origins in Florence, the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and the home of Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Brunelleschi and many other great artists who created some of the most famous works of art in the world.

Originating in this city it was only natural that La Marzocco would instinctively assimilate and reflect a passion for beauty, creativity and, why not, genius.

Founded in 1927 by Giuseppe Bambi and his brother Bruno, La Marzocco became well known throughout Tuscany right from the start thanks to its attractive, high quality coffee machines, cleverly devised and designed, and manufactured with care and a special attention to detail.

It was La Marzocco that in 1939 developed and patented the first coffee machine with a horizontal boiler, now an industry standard. This was the first of a series of important innovations later to include the dual-boiler system with saturated brewing groups.

Over the years La Marzocco has received much recognition for its products, including:

Prize for Quality and Courtesy;
The International Andino de Fomento;
Diploma of participation in the Decorative Arts Show at the Triennial Exhibition in Milan.

Tradition and a passion in the search for quality and superior reliability are factors which have always distinguished and interested the entire company.

Even today, highly specialized personnel still supervise each stage in the production of every single machine, hand-crafted to order for each and every client.

In this way, Giuseppe Bambi's great experience and professional pride live on after more than eighty years.

Crashes frequently, not worth the bother

Has potential, but currently is clunky and surely does not function on a iPhone 3GS running ios6. Oh we'll cant say they didn't try.

Needs alot of work.

It is extremely obvious their app building skills arent remotely close to their espresso machine making skills. :) I love the idea of the app, however, the design needs a ton of work. It literally takes longer to open the app than it does to originally download it. The hotspots feature is awesome, but it doesnt work. It seems the mashup of information just isnt getting mashed up consistently. Im registered along with other shops I know are registered as well, but all of us very rarely show up on hot spots. Ive seen my shop once and never saw it again. I love the photo links to url's, however when returning to browse on the app, everything reloads, updating pictures, hotspots, etc taking up 7 minutes to do so. I love the idea of the app, but the way it was designed makes it very difficult to use. I keep hoping someone fixes it. With all that negativity, I do want to say "I love you, LM". I mean it as constructive criticism and hope the design gets better. The only reason Im writing the review is I want to use this app. I wouldnt care if I wasnt such a big fan of your company. The app is free and is a perk and the idea of it is great. Just needs a little more professional execution.

Update

The old version was really nice and easy to navigate through, and worked. Since the update the app won't even load on my iPad or iPhone.
