Returned it. Way too buggy.

I had high hopes about the coaching aspect of these headphones. But: the app stops tracking my runs mid-run, randomly won't allow me time to say audio commands, claimed for a time that I run twice as fast as I actually do (good customer support fixed), doesn't play nice with the other apps I use for audio (and the backup run tracking because vi keeps quitting on me). The sound is excellent and the noise cancellation impressive but I'd rather have headphones that don't interfere with the process of running.

Had high hopes

I had high hopes for this product after backing it on kickstarter. I have my goal set to "run faster". The "AI", if you want to call it that, needs a lot of work. Vi will tell me my pace is "going up and down" and to try to keep a constant pace then a few seconds later she will remind me that varying my speed is a good way to increase my pace. I don't suggest these headphones for someone who trail runs with one bud out. I typically keep my left bud out and run on the right side of the trail so I can hear bikes coming up behind me. With Vi, the heart rate monitor is in the left ear. So it's slightly harder hearing bikers if I have to keep my right ear out. The magnets in the buds are awesome from keeping the unused bud from bouncing around. But because the activation button is on that side, same as the volume control, I pretty much hit it every time I go to change my volume. Audio quality is ok, it's better now that they added the bass boost. What I was really looking for was a program that was going to customize runs for me to improve me speed. Vi hasn't done anything helpful like that. I found out today that the heart rate monitor works with Runkeeper. I'm going to try them with runkeeper for a while since I can at least do custom runs with runkeeper.

Excited to See Updates

Seems like a good base ap, but I am still unable to use the touch pad on the earpiece and was told this would be fixed by an update soon. It has been about 3 weeks. Also the music control is almost like torture instead of something useable. It just starts playing the music in my library and I can't change it. The integration with Spotify would be better is spotify just took over

Exciting tech but the app seems like an afterthought

The application is extremely basic, while I don't expect it to be up to the level of Runtastic yet. I had to keep checking if it when I was running. it seemed to randomly hear me talking or not - be nice to have it acknowledge me answering so I don't have to keep pulling my phone out to check. Spotify integration was also basic to say the least, Spotify list would be nice as hey have fitness playlist within the app. I use the interval training in Runtastic and I don't see that as a choice. The UI is HORRIBLE! I kept getting lost and felt like I needed to quit the app to get where I wanted. I'll try it again tomorrow but so far my feeling is ill go back to Runtastic or zombie run as the story modes are nice and their are way more polished apps. Really hope this improves a lot as I like to see tech move forward plus it cost me $250 for this which so far is disappointing.

Has a long way to go

App is super buggy, did not work correctly 4 out of 5 runs. The app only knows a few very specific voice commands, and most of the time does not understand what I say. Does not share data with apple health Does not integrate with Strava (except via export, email, extract, then import) There is no documentation, just random FAQs Vi is not AI. It's just playing random sound tracks. Like a kids toy. Videos on website are very missing leading. What you see is not what you get. No treadmill mode. No trail run mode. There is no conversing with Vi. She only knows a few commands.
