Mad Decent is a record label based out of Philadelphia, PA, and is owned and operated by Thomas Wesley Pentz (alias Diplo). Mad Decent has helped to introduce Brazilian baile funk, Angolan Kuduro, and other music to clubs around the world. Some of the music genres that the label claims are house, black metal, and ghetto tech. A podcast for iTunes has been released to display the label's upcoming artists and their mixtapes for free. The label also puts together annual block parties, which are free and all ages are welcome. The block parties consist of performing artists, and special guest appearances.
