On April 21st 2015, the Arturo Merino Ben’tez airport 20-year management contract was awarded to Nuevo Pudahuel, a group formed by Groupe ADP (45%), VINCI Airports (40%) and Astaldi (15%). Nuevo Pudahuel«s management will start October 1st 2015. With many responsibilities, Nuevo Pudahuel will not only renovate the existing facilities, which will be used exclusively for domestic flights, but will also design, finance and construct a new international terminal that will feature 200,000 square meters. The US$1 billion project will be led by VINCI Construction Grands Projects and Astaldi for the construction and design phase. One of the main objectives is to increase the capacity from 2014Õs 16 million passengers to 30 million by 2020, with an overall potential of 45 million.
