Ovarian Cancer Canada the only national charity dedicated solely to overcoming ovarian cancer. Ovarian Cancer Canada is a registered Canadian charitable organization and provides leadership by: ¥ Supporting women and families living with the disease ¥ Raising awareness among the general public and with health care professionals ¥ Funding research into prevention, improved treatments and ultimately, a cure Ovarian cancer is the most fatal women's cancer in Canada. Five Canadian women are lost to the disease each day and 2,800 women will be diagnosed this year. There is no screening test and because it is often caught in its late stages, more than half of women diagnosed are not expected to live past five years.
