The People's Daily is a daily newspaper in the People's Republic of China. The paper is an organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC and provides direct information on the policies and viewpoints of the Party, which makes it the most authoritative newspaper in China and one of the top ten most influential newspapers in the world. The newspaper is published worldwide in Chinese with a circulation of 3 to 4 million. It maintains an online presence as The People's Daily Online, which is one of the most important news portals in China and provides information in 15 languages. Besides the flagship title, People's Daily also publishes dozens of cosmopolitian titles, trade journals and business newspapers as well as magazines.
