Preply is a global marketplace for tutoring, a service that helps people find online and local tutors of foreign languages, science, humanities, and various hobbies and provides services in the educational sector for teachers from all over the world. Preply was created on April 2013 and operates in six markets: Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Turkey and is about to launch in Germany, UK, and Spain. In June 2016 Preply (TechstarsÍ15), raised $1,3 million in a Series Seed round led by angel investors Mariusz Gralewski (DocPlanner, Poland), Przemys_aw Gacek (Grupa Pracuj, Poland), Arthur Kosten (Booking.com, 2003-2012), and Hedgehog Fund (Poland) with the participation of international venture companies RTAVentures VC, Xevin Investments (Poland), Digital Future (Ukraine), SMRK (Ukraine), Techstars (USA/Germany) and other angel investors. Early on, Preply was personally funded by angel investor Semyon Dukach (Techstars Boston). 25 000 Preply tutors offer their services to more than 70 000 students: 27 world languages classes, 13 school subjects lessons, as well as acting, music, and art lessons. 10 000 hours of classes are held each month with the help of Preply.com. • Narrow your search by setting your budget and availability. Preply makes online tutoring affordable by allowing tutors to set their own prices. Because our tutors live all over the world, you’ll find a tutor who can teach language lessons anytime you want to learn.

• Get to know your top matches by watching short video introductions, reading tutor profile information and checking student reviews. You can also message tutors online through the app before you book your first lesson.

• After you find a tutor you like, book a trial lesson and get ready to learn! We recommend taking a placement test to check your level, or at least sending your tutor a quick message about what you want to study in your language classes.

• Take your lesson anywhere via video call in the app or Preply website. During your lesson, think about whether this tutor can help you reach your long term goals. If you don’t love your tutor, we’ll give you a lesson with another tutor free or your money back, no questions asked!

Slow service

The app is very slow. Sometimes even for scrolling up and down or changing e.g. from messaging to settings. Not taking into account other options. But the interface is nice.

Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Graphics

Core Location Framework

Launch Services
macOS Launch Services is an API that enables a running app to open other apps or their document files, similar to the Finder or the Dock.Launch Services eliminates apps having to query the Finder to open an app, document, or URL for them.
