Stop allowing category creation on the fly

This is getting absolutely ridiculous. Why can’t you add the same control, that exists in Windows version, to MacOS? It it time to fix this. There is no excuse for not adding a simple control to prevent category from being created on the fly and without notice. I wish I could give this product negative 10 stars. Add a preference for users to control if they want new categories to be created on the fly or if categories should not be prevented on the fly. It really is not complicated.

Not what I thought

I bought Quicken intending to have my wife run it from her iPad, she does not use my desktop. But the mobile Quicken lacks much of what the desktop version has. How is she going to be able to do a reconciliation from the iPad? Can’t. Good thing they have that thirty day money back option.

Mobile app is very slow.

As far as Quicken on a standard computer it’s excellent. The mobile version is mind boggling slow on mobile versions. Wether I’m on my iPhone or iPad it takes a minute or more to process and save a transaction. My wife has the same issues with the mobile version so I’m pretty confident it’s not a hardware issue. I currently wouldn’t recommend the mobile version if wanting to do quick book keeping while mobile.

Flexibility!

Enjoying Quicken App on my iPad Pro and the flexibility to update transactions from the couch instead of my desktop in the office. But I use a Zagg keyboard with my iPad and when entering transactions, the app restricts the user to the on-screen number entry. Please add the ability to use a physical keyboard for entry of dates and figures. Thanks!

Purchased this for the budget feature

I bought this for the budgeting feature, which sadly does not work. One of the categories will not show up in the budget. I purchased the mac version of the app. I have entered a category on my mac through safari, as well as my ipad within the app and it still will not hold. If they could fix that glitch I’d be happy to rate it 5 stars.

Worthless App

This app worked fine until the latest update. Now after logging in, the app asks me to choose which data file to use. When I choose the same data file I’ve always used, it asks me to to log in again. Then which data file to use, etc. This app is nothing more than an infinite loop of coders’ incompetence.
