Ramsay Media
After 81 years as a family-owned media company, RamsayMedia joined the Caxton stable as an independent subsidiary in March 2014. Already a shareholder for several years, Caxton and CTP Printers and Publishers became outright owners of the highly regarded company, paving the way for the retirement of chairman Alan Ramsay at the age of 71. Over time, the company Ð dedicated market-leading, special interest publishers Ð expanded from a stable of dominant magazine brands into a true multi-platform enterprise with a vast array of digital and mobile opportunities, events, exhibitions, an audiovisual production division and a variety of related media channels. At present, the companyÕs versatile portfolio embraces the automotive, travel, science and technology, sport and lifestyle markets Ð and competes in all three primary publishing categories: customer, consumer and business to business (B2B.) In all instances, these titles bear the hallmark of RamsayMedia: contemporary design and entertaining editorial of the highest quality, creating a powerful bond with readers, viewers and visitors. In 2008, the company was rebranded from Ramsay Son & Parker to RamsayMedia, reflecting the natural evolution of a media company rising to the challenge of a changing landscape Ð and coinciding with an investment in the company by CTP Caxton. With a reputation for excellence and a legacy of satisfied business partners, clients and readers, RamsayMedia is the leading choice in specialist publishing.

Loading pages

It takes way too log to change pages and frequently they do not load at all. I have no IPad or connection problems other subscriptions work fine.

Keeps Crashing

Have tried making contact without success, since most recent Apple Software update I have been unable to view my subscribed magazines. The app crashes after opening almost immediately. Click on the app support and it takes me to Ramsay media?

How to turn off auto renewal of subscriptions

The app info specifies that one can turn off the auto subscription renewal in the settings for the app, but guess what, there are no settings options?? I have already contacted your support desk but no joy yet? I just hope this is not a gimmick to get customers auto renewing their subscription without having a choice?

Disappointed

I used to read the popular mechanics (US version) and have been reading other magazines like national geographic. When I started with this SA version the pictures where poor with no clarity (I don’t remember if the US version was like that, I don’t think so). Most annoying was that it doesn’t remember where you read up to so every time you go back to the magazines you have to use the bottom index to find where you were. This is very frustrating. The content is good but these two issues makes me regret that I bought a year’s subscription.

Metal
Render advanced 3D graphics and perform data-parallel computations. Get fine-grained access to the GPU while minimizing CPU overhead. The Metal Framework provides extremely low-overhead access to the GPU, enabling incredibly high performance for your sophisticated graphics rendering and computational tasks. Metal eliminates many performance bottlenecks—such as costly state validation—that are found in traditional graphics APIs. Metal moves all expensive state translation and compilation operations out of the critical path of your most performance sensitive rendering code. It provides precompiled shaders, state objects, and explicit command scheduling to ensure that your application achieves the highest possible performance and efficiency. Graphics, compute, and blit commands can be used together seamlessly and efficiently. Metal is specifically designed to exploit modern architectural considerations, such as multiprocessing and shared memory, to make it easy to parallelize the creation of GPU commands.
