Com 30 anos de histÑria, o Rock in Rio _ o maior evento de mÏsica e entretenimento do mundo por uma s_rie de razÝes. Das quinze ediÝes anteriores, cinco ocorreram no Brasil (1985, 1991, 2001, 2011 e 2013), seis em Portugal (2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012 e 2014), trs na Espanha (2008, 2010 e 2012) e uma nos Estados Unidos (2015). Em setembro, a sexta ediÜo no Brasil acontecerà na Cidade do Rock. Combinando todas as ediÝes jà realizadas, mais de 7,7 milhÝes de pessoas jà participaram do evento. Outro nÏmero que nÜo para de crescer _ o das redes sociais, nas quais o Rock in Rio està quebrando recordes com mais de 11 milhÝes de seguidores. Em termos de atraÝes, somando-se as ediÝes brasileiras, portuguesas, espanholas e americana, mais de 1.359 atraÝes musicais se apresentaram nos palcos do Rock in Rio, com um total de 1.200 horas de mÏsica, com transmissÜo para mais de 1 bilhÜo de telespectadores em todo o mundo, pela TV e Internet. Ao longo dos anos, mais de US$ 530 milhÝes foram investidos na marca. Al_m disso, mais de US$ 23,2 milhÝes foram investidos em projetos sociais e ambientais. Mais do que os Õndices de audincia e de investimentos significativos, o Rock in Rio tem ajudado na economia dos lugares visitados: mais de 148 mil postos de trabalho foram gerados ao longo dos Ïltimos 30 anos. O impacto econªmico da ediÜo de 2013 na cidade, publicado pela Riotur, foi de R$ 1 bilhÜo, e as taxas de ocupaÜo de hot_is eram de cerca de 90% no perÕodo.
