Super-capable, no upsell, no tracking

I’d been trying to find a barcode scanner that would decode some document 2D and other codes. This turned out to be a frustrating endeavor. I downloaded app after app after app. The app store has a seemingly inexhaustible list of apps that purport to do. I’d read the description of the app in the app store, read it’s data collection, tracking, and privacy policy, and if it claimed to decode arbitrary barcodes and wasn’t too onerous with data collection, I’d download and try it, only to find it ignored any barcode I checked. I assume these apps are just for checking prices on UPC codes or something. Useless. App after app after app. Then I found Scandit. It scans, decodes, and displays every code I’ve tried! Without ads or upsells to subscription services or requiring an account with them or only working with desktop products. I realize the app is a demo for their SDK, which is why it actually does what I want and doesn’t demand my data, my privacy, or my money. I hope lots of app developers use their SDK because, judging from Scandit, it does it all.

Scannt echt alles bisher

Ich muss ab und zu mal in der Industrie Teile überprüfen mit deren Prozessdaten. Normalerweise machen wir das mit speziellen Equipment. Aber für zwischendurch mal schnell nehm ich dann das Handy. Dieser Scanner hat bisher alles scannen können. Im Gegensatz zu den anderen im App Store von denen ich schon ein paar getestet habe. Die sind aber eher für den Supermarkt.
