don't bother wasting your money, it doesn't work. it will just say waiting for inmate & will never connect. Customer service is a joke, they will hang up on you. In order to receive your "credits" back you have to print out & send in a form & wait 5 business days to hear back from them. Honestly would rate 0 if possible.

This app is no good. No way to test audio or video prior to visit. I could hear the inmate but he could not hear me. My Microphone was enabled. No refund because they said it was connected. I have super fast internet so connection speed wasn't a problem. 45 minute hold time to get an operator. Overall very poor customer service and substandard video system

I don't even want to give this app one star! I paid for the visit, downloaded the app, tried to login....NOTHING! You put your information in and get a box that says "Error please try again later." I uninstalled it and tried again, changed passwords, tried the iPad, NOTHING! I called customer care for help but they didn't know why it wouldn't work. They credited my account but what's the use of having credit if you can't actually use it? Pretty disappointing to say the least.

Considering the amount of money these people make exploiting the loved ones that wish to see and/or speak to their family, I expect a MUCH higher quality of video visitation. You couldn't take a lesson from Skype? $5 for a 30 minute crap asked call is robbery no matter how you look at it. The video feature could be A MILLION times better than it is. My fiance could barely hear me. He said he was hearing "background noise" when there was none present because I was in a room alone with nothing on. I found out later that you have to plug in or connect a pair of headphones before the call starts to get any kind of decent quality. Oh! Let's not forget the fact that the first 10 mins of the call was wasted because neither of us could see or hear each other! I have amazing Internet with an amazing signal. This is not an issue on my end. The picture freezes often and a phone call could ruin your entire visit, so keep that in mind. You only get 3 stars because I didn't have to leave my home, but I would rather have left home and went down to the Jail vs Sam tatting at home and getting an iffy conversation, at best.

I was really worried by all the reviews but wanted to try it myself. I had no problems. I was able to see my loved one the whole time. It did break up a little bit during the conversation but not bad. I will do this again. Way better then having to drive there.

It was my 1st time ever using securus video visit, I decided to use the app so I could see my loved one on my iPhone easier. I cannot go to the facility I refuse to bring our son there. So I was logged on ready for my scheduled visit I tested the connection and it was 100% perfect. My appointment was 1:00 to 1:20. Waiting for the inmate to join the visit screen displayed for 5-7 mins. I called the jail from my moms cell and told them the inmate had a scheduled video visit and they where not there! They said ok we will bring him down. So he came on and connected to me at 1:14 giving me 5 mins to talk he kept saying I can't hear anything your saying over and over I could barley hear his voice my self. He couldn't hear me at all I attached my headphones with a microphone n he still couldn't hear anything. This was my 1st contact I had with him sense his incarceration 4 days prior. I had to write on a price of paper that I put $ on his books & he needed to apply it to his phone account and call me and his attorney! Than I pointed the camera at the note. He called me later that night. I wasted 13 dollars I called securus and the facility they said they can't credit me because it wasn't there fault. I can't believe how rude they where and how much time I wasted on hold waiting for a rep from securus only to tell me that they can't do anything. They attempted to tell me I needed troubleshooting ... excuse me but my phone had no background apps no Facebook or open accounts and I was connected to wifi. There for my device is not the problem the problem is there app!! Customer service and greedy company policies. I understand that it was the jails responsibilities to get the inmate to the appointment on time but the issues with the app where useless besides I could see his face n couldn't communicate. Absolutely Terrible app. I'm going to attempt one more time using a laptop with the webpage video visit. If this doesn't work I was told by the facility they would credit me. The only type of visits is through the video even when you go to the jail. They use the video system. It's terrible.
