Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI) is dedicated to guiding underserved youth to realize their full potential. Working with schools, families and community organizations, SEI provides opportunities for personal and academic success, bringing hope to individual young people and enhancing the quality of community life. Self Enhancement helps more than 3,000 kids each year to become positive, contributing citizens. The results speak for themselves: For the past 3 years, 100% of Self Enhancement kids have graduated from high school, 85% of our kids go on to college (often the first in their families to do so) and in 2008 four Self Enhancement students were class valedictorians. Closing the achievement gap is just one measurement of success. Our program influences lives, changes behaviors, helps kids make better decisions and provides options and opportunities.
