The idea for Socialab was launched as early as 2006, when YouTube was 1 year old and already a big hit. We were at the point where our main marketing-intensive business was booming and online marketing had still not yet found what it needed to overcome the doctrines of SEO, PPC and display advertising. ThatÕs when we started experimenting (hence the lab part in our name) with social media marketing, by launching viral campaigns to promote our own projects. Of course, the experience we had for launching the first group blog back in 1994 had proven very helpful, even though they were not called blogs back then. Then, facebook came along and delivered on what myspace, hi5 and friendster had been promising all along. ThatÕs when we realized our idea and decided to offer social media marketing services. So, who are we? Businesspeople and bloggers, facebook conversationalists, marketeers and advertisers.
