SportsCommunity was created to help volunteers at sporting clubs; empowering them, assisting them to gain their full potential and therefore ensuring the ongoing success of the club they and community they belong to. SportsCommunity's objectives include:
- Providing an information platform and communication forum/channel that allows clubs to operate at an optimum.
- A place where club members and clubs can communicate and converse, sharing best practice.
- Providing critical information to make clubs prosper such as fundraising ideas and grant information.

Being actively involved at all levels of the sporting community both Steve and Shona have witnessed first hand the challenges that clubs and club volunteers and administrators face.
