Teapigs
teapigs was set up in 2006 by Nick and Louise, self-professed tea nuts on a mission to get the nation drinking real tea. Louise has been a professional tea taster for over 15 years and has travelled the world sourcing all sorts of teas. The result is a range of the very best quality teas youÍll find. teapigs only use whole leaf teas, whole berries, whole herbs and flowers- not the dusty stuff youÍll find in regular teabags! Their teas come in biodegradable tea ñtemplesî - a roomy, biodegradable mesh bag that gives the leaves lots of room to infuse. The teapigs range of 32 teas and infusions covers the best of what tea can offer; traditional black teas like everyday brew and earl grey strong, punchy herbal teas like peppermint leaves and chamomile flowers, a range of green, white, oolong and rooibos teas, super healthy organic matcha and some adventurous blends for fellow tea nuts out there- chocolate flake tea or chilli chai anyone? teapigs also sell loose tea for those that like it the traditional way. We were the first British tea company to successfully bring whole leaf tea in a mesh bag format to the UK market. Our first major stockist was Harvey Nichols in 2006. This was soon followed by Selfridges and Whole Foods Market. Youll now find teapigs in over 35 countries around the world.
