OUR MISSION
The Heart Research InstituteÍs mission is to prevent death and suffering from heart disease through an understanding of the biological processes that cause atherosclerosis.
OUR CORE OBJECTIVES
The Heart Research Institute has three core objectives:
´ To detect atherosclerosis at an early stage before it leads to clinical problems.
´ To develop new treatments which can reverse the development of heart disease.
´ To prevent individuals developing atherosclerosis in the future.
The Heart Research Institute (HRI) is an internationally recognised research institute that performs cutting-edge cardiovascular research. The main focus of this research is to gain an understanding of the development and
progression of atherosclerosis: the dominant cause of heart disease.
There are eleven scientific groups at the HRI, with each group conducting research into a specific aspect of cardiovascular disease.
