The Royal Portfolio is a collection of iconic hotels and private residences in South Africa owned and run by the Biden family.
Royal Malewane, La Residence and Birkenhead House are located in the most beautiful and idyllic areas of South Africa. The hotels were originally the family homes of Liz & Phil Biden and have been transformed into stylish and truly unique destinations.
The Royal Portfolio opened The One Above penthouse in 2014 and in 2016, the Biden family will realise their dream of opening a hotel in their home city of Cape Town. The Silo will open in the historic grain silo building above Zeitz MOCAA in the V&A Waterfront.
Since first opening Royal Malewane in 1999, the vision of the Biden family has been to give guests a complete experience and a perfect stay.
